Commission for :iconthorn2007:

I really have to thank :iconneifaren: who teach'd me a pair of techniques for shading, which gave it much more professional look.

This is the biggest piece i have done ever on digital media, which took me about 20+ hours. ^^;

So here is Apollo getting kissed by two of my female characters, enjoy. ;)

Hello! I saw you on the forums and thought i'd swing by to comment on this work. First of all, great work on the highlights. I can see you learned a lot from your friend who helped :)

I think at the moment, what I can see in all of your work is that you need to work on some more line variances.At the moment, everything in this piece is sitting on the same level. A good way to see this is to squint your eyes and look at your work. You can see that the three figures all appear to be one blob and the background one blob. That's where line variances come in handy. All you need to do is subtly add thicker lines on the characters features which are coming out in front of them, like for example on the legs of the blue creatres legs and on the legs and scarf of the red creature.

Do try to also avoid using photoshop brushes for grass excessively. Also, with the wings of the blue creature, the one that is going close to the red one seems very awkwardly placed and almost as though it is coming out of the ground behind the red creature. On the angle which the blue wingerd creature is on, we would see both wings protruding from the back of it and then bending around a bit. If you move the blue creatures left wing that is currently coming from it's right shoulder over closer and blocking that line which leads to the tail, you will have more room to show the other wing. If you'd like me to, i can easily quickly draw over it to show you how it needs to be fixed. :)

Also, don't be afraid to add a bit more darker shadow. Considering that it's sunset in this picture, the shadows would be a lot more pronounced. :)

Anyway hope that makes sense. Keep it up!!
